Arnold Schwarzenegger recovering from heart surgery.

News has reached us that Arnold Schwarzenegger has undergone emergency open heart surgery. The 70 year old screen icon underwent the operation on Thursday according to TMZ. Schwarzenegger is said to have been scheduled to have a catheter valve replacement but developed complications.

It’s reported that doctors at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. decided that an emergency operation was required and resulted in the actor being in theatre for several hours. He is now said to be in a stable condition. This is not his first heart operation. In 1997, he underwent elective heart surgery to replace a heart valve.

Schwarzenegger had been set to reprise his role as The Terminator, under the direction of Deadpool director Tim Miller with James Cameron returning as an executive producer. Filming was set to start in a few months. A Conan the Barbarian sequel was also said to be in the pipeline for filming next year. How this setback will effect those plans has obviously not been announced yet.

Here at Film ‘89 Towers we are keeping our fingers crossed and wish him a speedy recovery and hope that “He will be back” to full health soon.
