The third episode of The Film ’89 Podcast is here and it’s something of a departure from the regular format of the show as we present the first of our Retrospective episodes where we go in-depth and offer some probing discussion and analysis of a classic film. The first film to be featured in this regular series is John Carpenter’s 1982 sci-fi/horror masterpiece, The Thing. Joining Skye to discuss The Thing is former stage director Matt Jenkins. Matt is a lifelong fan of The Thing and considers it his favourite film. We’re also extremely pleased to be joined by filmmaker and host of the brilliant Flix Wise Canada Podcast and frequent writing contributor to both Film89.co.uk and regular guest on the superb Wrong Reel Podcast, Martin Kessler.
