He-Man reboot is back on with a proposed December 2019 release date.

Stuck in development hell for the last few years, it appears that plans are still afoot for He-Man to make his big screen return for the first time since the Dolph Lundgren starring Masters of the Universe way back in 1987.

The Eternian hero’s reboot seemed to have lost steam when director McG exited the project earlier this year, but now news reaches us that David Goyer will be taking on dual director/writer roles with the film getting a scheduled December 18th 2019 release date from Sony Pictures.

Goyer has various writing credits to his name including Man of Steel and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. His last stint of directorial duty was 2009’s The Unborn, and he previously helmed 2004’s Blade: Trinity.
