Is “It” director Andy Muschietti planning to work with The Rock?

Critics are almost universal in their praise for Andy Muschietti’s new version of “It” with the film currently having a “Fresh” score of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. It also appears that one of the film world’s biggest stars has decided to weigh in with his opinion. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to his Instagram account with his personal review of the new film and it’s pretty safe to say he liked it;

“I saw this movie two months ago and it instantly became one of my all time favorites. Easily TOP 10 all time.
Not only does it redefine the horror genre, but it’s so layered, smart and brilliantly scary. Congrats to the awesome young cast aka The Losers Club for killing their performances. To Bill Skarsgard for delivering an iconic performance as Pennywise. And to the entire crew and my good buds at Warner Bros/New Line. And most of all congrats to director, Andy Muschietti for making such a defining film. You knocked it outta the f*cking park!
Great talking with you man and we’re gonna have some fun working together down the road. As a huge fan of the horror genre, this one’s special. Have you fully recovered @simonegjohnson?”

So it would appear that not only did the actor get an early preview of the film, but he’s also actively in discussions with Muschietti about an upcoming project too. Warner Bros and Johnson have an upcoming DC property, Black Adam, on their slate and it could well be that the Brahma Bull has just delivered a huge hint as to who may be directing it.

As of yet no formal announcement has been made regarding the film which is said to be sitting behind Auqaman and Shazam on DC’s solo outing schedule, but the project does appear to still be alive and it could now potentially involve two of Hollywood’s hottest properties. Johnson is very savvy when it comes to his social media updates and we expect an announcement very soon if there’s anything solid behind his tweet.
