Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige says they have 20 more MCU films planned.

After the frosty critical response to Justice League in comparison to the almost universally positive reaction to Thor: Ragnarok, it’s clear that Marvel studios lead the way in the comic book adaptation stakes and it must be another bitter blow to Warner Brothers to hear that Marvel don’t have any plans to slow down anytime soon with studio boss Kevin Feige revealing that there are 20 more MCU movies planned after the release of Avengers 4 in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

Feige went on to explain that whilst the fourth Avengers film will bring the on-going saga of the MCU to a conclusion, that the story will be set to take on a different arc as a result of the storylines set to be introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and a new set of Spider-Man films;

“22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before, intentionally.”

With Disney’s Bob Eiger’s recent claims to have the rights to 7,000 characters, not to mention the frequent rumours of the studio’s attempts to get back their properties owned by 20th Century Fox, the possibilities seem endless and it appears that Marvel have no intention of playing down their dominance.
