Have Warner Bros already got their sights set on an actor to replace Henry Cavill?

As DC Fans are still reeling from the news that Henry Cavill may have taken his last flight in the tights, news is starting to emerge on who Warner Bros are planning on having take over the role of Superman.

Deadline are now reporting that the actor at the top of the WB wish-list is none other than Micheal B Jordan. With Jordan being no stranger to the Superhero genre, having played Johnny Storm (aka The Human Torch) in 2015’s doomed Fantastic Four reboot and more positively the villainous Erik Killmonger earlier this year in the runaway success that was Black Panther, he has a strong presence in Hollywood and is next set to reprise his role as Adonis Creed in the Rocky spin off Creed 2 later this year.

Of course the obvious and perhaps predictable reactions will inevitably focus on Jordan potentially being the first black actor to take on the iconic role and it may be some time before it’s confirmed if there is any truth to this report, with Deadline also speculating that it may be several years before another Superman movie goes into production, with the studio said to be more focussed on bringing a Supergirl movie to fruition in place of the previously planned Man Of Steel 2.
