Bradley Walsh to be new Doctor Who companion?
In what initially seems surprising news, the Daily Mirror is reporting that the new Doctor Who companion has been found and it is none other than Bradley Walsh. The host of quiz show, The Chase, has previously worked with new show boss, Chris Chibnall when he was lead writer on ITV show Law & Order UK and Walsh previously played the character of Danny Baldwin in soap opera Coronation Street.
The Mirror stated;
“Apparently, a source told The Mirror that Bradley is “super excited to be joining the cast of Doctor Who in such a key role. It means that his schedule over the coming months will be jam-packed – so he won’t be able to continue with the full range of programmes he currently makes for ITV. But, crucially, it won’t affect his role as presenter of The Chase. He loves that show with a passion and so does the audience, so he’s delighted to have found a way to make it all work.”
No official comment has yet been made by the BBC confirming Walsh’s casting.
