Sebastian Stan on his ‘I, Tonya’ co-star Margot Robbie and one day taking over as Captain America.

Unlike a lot of the silly rivalry that exists between fans, it appears that there’s no rivalry between the actual stars of DC and Marvel Studios’ films, well at least not between Bucky Barnes and Harley Quinn anyway.

Any thoughts of any awkwardness between Sebastian Stan and Margot Robbie were quickly dispatched on the set of I, Tonya with Stan recently revealing that his co-star didn’t even know he’d appeared in a Marvel movie;

“I remember, I said something to her at one point about that, and she was like, ‘oh,’ like she didn’t even know I was in a Marvel movie,” Stan said with a laugh during a Q&A panel at Wizard World, St. Louis earlier this month.

It appears however, that he is a big fan of her work, heaping praise upon Robbie’s portrayal of Quinn, “She was definitely my favorite part in Suicide Squad,” Stan said. “I thought she was great. Such a great character, too. DC has great characters.”

Stan in no way seems to be planning a DC transfer though and stated that he hopes that one day his character will take up the mantle of Captain America, but admitted that there may be a few hurdles to clear before that could happen.

“There’s this issue where we’ve got to get him to be trustworthy enough for them to give him that responsibility, you know, to fill those shoes, and those are hard shoes to fill,” Stan said.

“So I think it’s possible, I really do, but it just has to make sense and we might need a little more time.”
