Stan Lee’s Marvel Film Cameos are set to continue in spite of his recent ill-health.

With his recent health scare and a self confessed hatered of air travel, it’s good to know that Marvel Studios are doing everything possible to make it easy for Stan Lee to continue to make his cameo appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Avengers: Infinity War co-director Joe Russo recently confirming to BBC radio during an interview that the legendary comic book guru will be appearing in at least three more Marvel movies;

“So, Stan, typically we try to get him out — he doesn’t love to fly — so we try to get him out for his cameos around the same time. So if we have other movies shooting on the same lot that we’re on, for instance Ant-Man 2 or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together and then move him from one set to the next and kind of get him through his cameos in one day.”

Whilst he might not like to fly, Lee has made no secret of the fact that he enjoys his cameo roles and recently joked on Twitter that he hopes the Oscars create a category for best cameo in their 2019 ceremony so he can take home an award.

As well as the three MCU movies being released this year, Deadpool 2 is also due to hit the big screen shortly and whilst there’s no word yet on whether Stan The Man will be sharing a scene with Wade Wilson, it seems a safe bet that after his appearance in the first movie as a strip club DJ, plus playing himself in an early teaser trailer for the sequel, that it’s a safe bet to assume he’ll be the butt of another joke from The Merc with the Mouth.

Here at Film ‘89 Towers we love a Stan Lee cameo and to those who don’t share our enthusiasm, we would like to point out that the last Fantastic Four movie didn’t feature a Lee Cameo, so in the words of the great man himself, “Nuff said”.
